Here at The Royal Oak you can expect a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere as soon as you step through the door. We pride ourselves on delivering delicious, great quality  food in our charming 16th century pub with a smile to boot!


Why not come and warm yourself by the open fire and try a pint of locally brewed Cerne Abbas Beer,  or one of our new lagers. Relax in the beer garden under the grapevines with a glass of wine.


We also serve teas coffees and Dorset apple cake as well as bacon and sausage sandwiches made with or own freshly baked bread


The pub is open every day for food from 12.00 to 2.30pm & 6pm to 8.30pm. 


Sunday we are open for food 12.00 to 5.00pm & 6pm till 8.30pm.

Fancy a bite to eat?

Our menu offers an exciting combination of traditional and innovative food using locally sourced produce providing a genuine taste of Dorset. We serve your  favorites like our steak & ale pie with Stilton, fish & chips, daily fish specials or local venison and apple faggots. There is something for all tastes.

From starters to desserts where you can sample Duncan's traditional 1560’s sticky toffee pudding and the signature white chocolate raspberry cheesecake  - definitely worth saving room for!
